OLTA-DK ApS opened a warehouse in Denmark, which means we are looking for the opportunity to keep our Ukrainian wooden packaging production company OLTA-LVIV LLC afloat. In peaceful times in Ukraine, we never even guessed we would expand our business into the Danish market. In the current situation, this is a step toward being closer to our customers in Denmark or other nearby European markets. By having a warehouse in Denmark, we store our products here and reduce shipping times and costs for our potential customers
However, there were several things that we considered when opening a warehouse in Denmark:
- Legal and regulatory requirements: compliance with Danish laws and regulations related to business operations, taxation, employment, and safety.
- Logistics and transportation: we planned transportation of our goods from Ukraine to Denmark and within Denmark. We agreed with the logistics provider to arrange for shipping services.
- Customs and trade: compliance with customs regulations and trade agreements between Ukraine and Denmark or other EU countries. We obtain all certifications for products to comply with Danish or EU standards.
- Marketing and sales: The main challenge for us is developing marketing and sales strategy for the Danish market, which requires market research, branding, and advertising.
Opening a warehouse in Denmark can become an excellent strategic move for us as a Ukrainian producer seeking to expand into the European market despite the war circumstances we are facing now.
